Inspections

RPII Post Installation Inspections


Whilst it is a recommendation rather than a requirement, many Local Authorities and commercial organisations are now requesting that new playgrounds be independently assessed prior to hand over to ensure that the playground meets with the requirements of BS EN 1176.

Combined Playground Services are able to offer this facility using our “in house” team of inspectors. For playground owners it is important to ensure that a qualified inspector is employed to assess new build playgrounds. All our inspectors are fully accredited by the R.P.I.I. as Annual Inspectors.


Annual Playground Inspections


BS EN 1176 Part 1, section “3.29 recommends an Annual Main Inspection of your playground at intervals not exceeding 12 months and is intended to establish the overall level of safety of equipment, foundations and surfaces.”

We are able to provide such a playground inspection service using our “in house” Annual Playground Inspectors and can call on both male and female Inspectors as required.

We carry out in excess of 2,000 playground inspections per year and have built a reputation for impartiality, prompt reaction and value for money.

Every playground should have a risk assessment carried out at least once a year, which is usually carried out at the same time as the annual playground inspection but can also be done at a time independent of the annual inspection.

We are also able to provide a “Play Value” report as well as a DDA (The Disability Discrimination Act) specific report on the playground.
